Fast and convenient but mounting tricky

Excellent for quickly placing and taking phone off the mount via magnet. Much safer than trying to fiddle with the usual sort of mount while driving, which we should NEVER do but are often tempted to!
Excellent for placing phone at the right distance and viewing angle.
However, mounting the whole unit can be a problem. There is a suction cup which simply doesn't work on most car surfaces, unless you're mounting it on the windscreen. (I didn't try this because it's a bit far from where I want the phone to be). Certainly won't stick to the dashboard even if it's completely smooth. The unit comes with a separate plate with a Magic mount sticky surface, but the suction cup won't stick to the back of that either. I had to improvise and stick the suction cup to the magic mount plate with adhesive! If you're happy to do a bit of DIY, or if you can make it stick to the windscreen, I'd highly recommend this unit, but otherwise not.
