If you use the stylus of your Note a lot, this is a must have tool, making it much easier to write on the screen.
A couple of issues, the stylus that came with the pen is different to the stylus of my Note (perhaps from a Note 3) but it works. Also, you have to remove the stylus from the holder in the note otherwise the Note does not recognize the stylus inside the pen. Would be nice if that could be changed (but that might up the battery usage)
